Overview:

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a full-time, rotating shift, Food Service Worker.

This position offers full-time hours, rotating shifts, and requires working every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Up to $1,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team, supporting various functions such as delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines, maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, working as a cashier, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld.

Requirement: Food Handlers Card in Norfolk.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience may be accepted in lieu of degree/diploma.

Certification/Licensure

• Food Handlers Card and Food Service Certification as required by local health department.
