Job summary

Trinity Services Group, a provider of food service within a correctional facility, is hiring a Food Service Supervisor. The role oversees inmate labor and kitchen staff, ensuring meals are prepared and served according to menus and recipes, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will report to a Food Service Director and work onsite inside a jail/correctional facility. A high school diploma or GED and being at least 18 years old are required; prior institutional food service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, and must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred experience in institutional food service or restaurant settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and portion meals to meet nutritional requirements.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
