Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a jail/correctional facility. You will prepare and serve diverse menu items following provided instructions and use various kitchen tools to ensure portions meet nutritional requirements.

The role requires supervising staff, training peers, and maintaining a safe work environment while handling lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 18 years of age or older required
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service
• Serve meals according to schedules and procedures
• Use utensils and equipment to cook and portion food to meet nutritional needs
• Train other food service workers
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment
• Stand for extended periods and perform lifting and bending as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by operations

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
