Starting at $17.50-$18.50 / hour, we are seeking a Food Service Worker at the Re-Entry Center. We collaborate with the Washington Department of Corrections to maintain operations and security. We work with men and women re-entering the community from incarceration. The Transition House supports these individuals by providing resources and support to help them become engaged community members.

Our ideal candidate will be compassionate, a team player, organized, and an excellent communicator. They should be energetic, creative, open to positive reinforcement, and serve as a positive role model.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Prepare meals daily following a menu.
• Provide menu information and suggestions to residents and collaborate on nutritious weekly menus with the Food Service Manager.
• Assist with food preparation and operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and broilers.
• Arrange table settings and clear, clean, and sanitize tables and work stations.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers.
• Refill condiments and supplies as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality food service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1 year of food service experience preferred.

Ability to participate in our Drug-Free Workplace program.
