Job summary

Acelero Learning Wisconsin is seeking an on-call, part-time Food Service Worker in Racine, WI, to support Head Start/Early Head Start meal service for children ages 0–5. You will help prepare USDA-approved meals, keep the kitchen clean and sanitary, and maintain stock and records.

The role requires a High School Diploma, ServSafe is preferred, plus health checks; compensation is hourly with benefits described by the program. July 2026 start date with a wage of $15.86 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of the assigned menu.
• Assist in delivery of food to classrooms and of dirty dishes from the classroom.
• Use sanitary washing procedure to clean dishes and cooking equipment.
• Check food deliveries for accuracy and for good quality.
• Store food and supplies properly.
• Date all canned, boxed and bagged foods.
• Use the FIFO method of inventory.
• Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Monitor and maintain proper temperatures of all refrigerator and freezers.
• Maintain appropriate cleanliness of all kitchen materials and supplies as required.

Your Role:
