Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Food Service Supervisor to manage inmate labor and the kitchen team in a correctional facility, reporting to the Food Service Director. The role operates onsite with a 2am-10am shift, focusing on safe, nutritious meal preparation and adherence to menus and recipes.

You will train peers, supervise food prep and service, and ensure a healthy work environment while meeting client nutritional requirements. Prior institutional food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 21+ years old.
• Prior institutional food service or correctional facility exp preferred.
• Ability to supervise inmates and food service staff.
• Comfort with standing, lifting, and handling kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve meals on schedule according to procedures.
• Use utensils and equipment to cook and portion food per recipes.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Handle physical tasks: lifting, bending, kneeling, standing for long periods.
• Be prepared to perform additional duties as needed.

About This Position

$16.00/hour + $500 new hire bonus

Shift: 2am-10am

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
