Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff in a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of food items following menus and use a range of kitchen equipment to meet nutritional requirements.

You report to a Food Service Director and work on-site inside a jail. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and bring prior institutional food service or restaurant experience if possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; applicant must be 18 years or older.
• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Ability to oversee inmate labor and train staff in a correctional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food and portion according to recipes.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and handle related physical tasks.

$16/hr + $500 new hire bonus

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
