About This Position

• Must be available to work some weekends and holidays *

Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional facility. This includes preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, using food preparation utensils and machines.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare and assist in food preparation according to menus and recipes
• Ensure proper and sanitary storage of food
• Serve food during scheduled meal times following policies
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly
• Follow all food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform policy and hygiene standards
• Manage waste and keep the kitchen clean
• Ensure proper portioning and serving utensils
• Promote a safe work environment
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned
