Job summary

Trinity Services Group in the United States (Florida, Panama City) is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and team members in a correctional facility kitchen. The role includes preparing and serving a variety of food items following menus and instructions, using utensils and machines to prepare meals.

You will report to a Food Service Director and work on-site inside a jail/correctional facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Passionate about food and service; desire to learn and work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes and portion servings.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
• Other responsibilities as determined by needs.

About This Position

$16.50/hour + $1000 new hire bonus

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
