Job summary

Trinity Services Group seeks a Food Service Supervisor for an on-site correctional facility. You will oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff, preparing and serving meals per recipes and menus, using a variety of utensils and equipment.

You report to a Food Service Director and work on-site inside a jail. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and may have prior institutional food service experience; benefits and a rookie bonus are highlighted.

Qualifications

• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and service.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and portion food.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Other duties as needed.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
