Overview

The Food Service Worker performs various tasks within a food service operation, including patient tray assembly and delivery, dish area, salad bar, short order cooking, cafeteria serving, re-stocking, cash register operation, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

1. Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to established par levels.
2. Deliver or serve patient/guest meal trays and retail food items accurately and promptly.
3. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of retail or production areas following Public Health District standards.
4. Follow food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance.
5. Prepare food and beverage requests accurately and timely.
6. Perform dish and ware washing duties as assigned.
7. Handle cash accurately for guest tray charges and retail food sales.
8. Keep the dish room, ware washing, and tray assembly areas clean and sanitary.
9. Minimize overproduction to control waste and food costs.
10. Operate as a grill cook as needed.

Salary Range
