Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a PRN Food Service Worker to support meal assembly, service, and cleanup for patients and guests. Day shifts cover typical service hours with specific time windows, and the role requires accurate preparation and safe handling of food items.

Responsibilities include serving meals, sanitizing equipment, stocking storerooms, and operating the dish machine. A High School diploma or GED and 0–6 months of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified and perform each essential job function.
• Must have visual acuity adequate to perform duties and communicate effectively.
• Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech during service.

• Serve food items in accordance with diet, specifications and menu requirements.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, dishes, pots/pans, floor mats, floors, and work areas following proper procedure.
• Stocks storerooms, refrigerators and work areas with supplies using first in, first out principle and appropriate dating.
• Operates dish machine and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• May work the register, close out register and counts money. Properly places money and money drawer in designated location.

$19.09 - $21.50

Position Highlights

Day shifts are: 6-1:30 or 7-2:30 or 7-3:30. Night shift is 4:30-7:30pm.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience
