Job description

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI) is seeking a Food Service Workerto join our team! This is a full-timeposition consisting of four 10-hour shifts, alternating weekends. We also offerstrong opportunity for advancement, growth, and development.

As a member of the Dietary Department of the institution, the Food Service Worker performs manual food service work in the serving of meals, cleaning of dietary items and areas, and related work as required. This position assists in setting up food service lines, hot food carts, or special trays, as well as in serving food on the tray line, living units, or wards.

Applicants will be required to complete a background check to be considered for this position.

IMHI provides inpatient treatment and acute psychiatric services,includingindividualized treatment plans and support for children and adolescent patients to continue their education. Individuals areencouraged to collaborate with staff members in formulating their own plan. Medication, group counseling, and activities therapies might be included as well.If you enjoy helping people with adult, children and family services, mental health treatment, disabilities services and long-term care, this is a wonderful opportunity to consider.
