The primary purpose of this job is to perform a variety of Food Service and cashier duties.
Duties
- Set up and replenish cafeteria line, steam table, and food service counters with hot and cold food.
- Serve food cafeteria style and prepare self-service stations with condiments, silverware, and glassware.
- Set up dining room tables for service.
- Prepare fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by cleaning, peeling, cutting, scraping, chopping, and dicing.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as potato peelers, slicers, mixers, grinders, scales, and measuring devices in accordance with safety regulations.
- Unload supply trucks, store supplies properly, and bring supplies to work areas as needed.
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans manually or using mechanical dishwashers, and perform maintenance on dishwashing equipment.
- Clean walls, windows, and perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks including ceilings, exhaust hoods, behind equipment, floors, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Maintain garbage collection areas, clean and sanitize trash containers, and remove heavy garbage from work areas.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs using mechanical vacuum cleaners.
Cashier Duties
- Perform headcount and cashier duties as required.
- Operate cash register, record sales, and collect cash, ensuring accuracy.
- Check identification to ensure authorized access to the dining facility.
- Maintain headcount sheets and other required forms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must pass all applicable records and background checks.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Starting May 7, 2025, access will require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable identification.
