Job summary

Wegmans Seafood team seeks teammates to deliver outstanding customer service and keep fresh seafood items available. You will help customers locate products, package items, and ensure clean, well-stocked displays in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, stocking cases, and assisting with daily operations while following Wegmans’ service standards and safety guidelines. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Experience utilizing a variety of cooking techniques; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 - 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 - 55 degrees) temperatures and hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees). Basic tools and equipment used include u-cart, hand/power jack, box cutter, knives, fryer, ice machine, and ice tables.
