Trinity Services Group in Columbia, SC is hiring a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals inside a correctional facility, reporting to the Food Service Director. This on-site role requires attention to cleanliness and food safety, and follows planned menus and recipes.

You’ll work as a team member, adapt to changes quickly, and help maintain a safe, orderly kitchen environment. The position offers $17.00/hour plus a $1000 new hire bonus and benefits, with DailyPay options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality foods according to menus and recipes.
• Maintain a neat, food-safe workstation; clean as you go.
• Serve foods during planned meal times per procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook according to recipes.
• Follow all sanitation and food-handling regulations.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks; stay organized.
• Be able to lift, bend, push, kneel, walk, and stand for long periods.
• Be flexible to additional responsibilities as needed.

About This Position

$17.00/hour + $1000 new hire bonus

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
