Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to work on-site inside the Carteret County Jail in North Carolina. You will manage inmate labor, supervise kitchen operations, and ensure meals are prepared according to menus.

We offer $18.25 hourly wage, a bonus potential, DailyPay, and benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and tuition reimbursement. Prior institutional food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required and applicant must be at least 21 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

About This Position

This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Carteret County Jail.

• We are offering a BONUS of up to $1,000!!**

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
