Job summary

Southern Foodservice Management Inc. is hiring a Food Service Worker for the U.S. Coast Guard ATC location in Mobile, Alabama. The role involves dishwashing, food prep support, and maintaining a clean service area.

Shifts may include Sundays— Saturdays, with hours ranging 6:00 AM–7:30 PM and occasional longer days during weekends/holidays. Pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up Dish Machine and wash sinks; Delime weekly.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, forks, knives, spoons.
• Restock utensils and maintain a clean service area.
• Make desserts during the week as needed.
• Plate desserts and display before meals; remove after service.
• Take required temperature logs and recordkeeping.
• Clean all surfaces and equipment during and after each meal.
• Sweep, mop dining room, wardroom, kitchen areas.
• Wipe tables and organize condiments; refill as needed.
• Clean broiler and kitchen areas; move equipment for cleaning.
• Follow cleaning charts; complete daily/weekly tasks.
• Perform other duties; comply with safety and dress code.

Southern Foodservice Management, a national contact food service company, is now looking to hire a Food Service Worker for our U.S. Coast Guard ATC location in Mobile, AL.

• The pay is $17.75/hour + $5.09/hour Health & Welfare
• Must be available to work Sunday–Saturday, with shifts between 6:00 AM–7:30 PM; weekend and holiday hours are typically 7:15 AM–7:15 PM.
• Schedule typically rotates between 40 hours one week and 32 hours the next.
• Must be available to work every third weekend and every third holiday; hours are subject to change.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Set up Dish Machine and pot wash sinks (Delime the Machine Once a Week)
• Wash all Pots, pans utensils, plates, bowls, forks, knives, and spoon, etc.
• Re-stock any of those food service utensils, equipment required and maintain service area cleanliness.
• Make desserts during the week as needed
• Plate up all desserts and place in display cabinet before meal service, and remove after dinner meal service
• Take any required temperature record logs.
• Clean all surfaces and equipment use during and after each meal.
• Clean walls, floors and drains in surrounding area.
• Sweep and Mop Dining Room, Wardroom and Chief Petty Officers Room and Kitchen
• Wipe down all Tables and condiment counter, organize the condiments on the tables, re-fill and replace condiments as needed
• Cleaning the Broiler (Steak Thursday’s)
• Sweep and mop kitchen area, moving any equipment that has wheels to sweep in behind and underneath (Everything must be cleaned before going home, or taking a break)
• Follow cleaning charts and complete daily and weekly cleaning
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
• Comply with the company’s safety standards and dress code always.
• Set a good example for all personnel through appearance in uniform and work ethic.
