GEO Group is seeking a Food Service Warehouse Specialist to receive, store, and distribute food items within a correctional facility, maintaining stock records and reports.

You will help feed operations, verify inventory, and support food service staff while ensuring compliance with safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Food Service Warehouse Specialist receives, stores, and distributes food service supplies, material, and equipment within the facility. In addition, this position keeps and maintains records and compiles stock reports

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Food Service Warehouse Specialist receives and counts incoming food items, and records inventory manually or using computer.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse.
• Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies or adjust errors.
• The Food Service Warehouse Specialist stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in the food warehouse or other areas.
• Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• The Food Service Warehouse Specialist cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Receives, compiles, and distributes food item requests.
• Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
• Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provides assistance or direction to food service workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• * High school diploma or GED certification required.
• * Warehouse experience desired.
• * Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively.
