Job summary

GEO Secured Services is hiring a Food Service Warehouse Specialist to receive, store and distribute food service supplies within the facility. This role maintains records, compiles stock reports, and supports food service workers.

Primary duties include inventory counting, packing/unpacking, labeling, and ensuring safe storage practices. A high school diploma or GED is required, warehouse experience is preferred.

• Clean and maintain supplies and storage areas for safety.
• Receive, compile, and distribute food item requests.
• Determine proper storage methods based on turnover and environment.
• Maintain records of stock usage and damage.
• Inspect items for wear or damage and report issues.
• Assist food service workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Food Service Warehouse Specialist receives, stores, and distributes food service supplies, material, and equipment within the facility. In addition, thisposition keeps and maintains records and compiles stock reports

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Food Service Warehouse Specialist receives and counts incoming food items, and records inventory manually or using computer.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse.
• Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies or adjust errors.
• The Food Service Warehouse Specialist stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in the food warehouse or other areas.
• Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• The Food Service Warehouse Specialist cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Receives, compiles, and distributes food item requests.
• Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
• Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provides assistance or direction to food service workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certification required.
• Warehouse experience desired.
• Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively.
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
