Job Description

The Food Service Technician performs essential functions such as dishwashing, serving, food prep, and janitorial duties. Responsibilities are at the discretion of the dietary department manager and include providing excellent customer service to ensure a pleasant dining experience for patients.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily tasks aligning with Discovery Behavioral Health's goals and vision
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and employee guidelines
• Follow all food safety and physical safety guidelines
• Maintain respectful and courteous interactions with team members, patients, staff, and guests
• Ensure consistent attendance and proper hygiene
• Maintain safety standards, including proper handling of sharps and HACCP procedures
• Participate in meetings and training sessions
• Complete all required certifications and documentation
• Perform dishwashing, food prep, and serving duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all dietary areas
• Assist with stocking, inventory, and food safety practices
• Support special functions and cafeteria operations as needed

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with varied shifts between 6am-6:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience
• Ability to read and write in English
