Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Knowledge of operating an efficient cost-effective program.

• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality per policies and requirements.
• Ensure food items stored safely and organized.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure items served per menu specifications.
• Maintain sanitary department complying with health and safety codes.
• Maintain weekly inventory records.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth and teamwork.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Perform preventative maintenance checklist.
• Recommend equipment replacements to meet facility needs.
• Be capable of multi-tasking.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain staff communication.
