Trinity Services Group seeks a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and food preparation inside a correctional facility. You will report to the Food Service Director and work on-site, following provided menus and recipes to serve meals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about food, understands food handling regulations, and thrives in a team, adaptable to changes, and flexible in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work.

Responsabilités

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and department procedures.
• Prepare and cook food using utensils/equipment and portion meals to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
