Job summary

Trinity Services Group in Georgia is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals following prepared menus and nutrition guidelines, report to a Food Service Director, and work onsite.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is at least 18, and preferably institutional food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older preferred.
• Experience in institutional food service or restaurant settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and menus.
• Use utensils and equipment to prepare and portion meals per recipes and nutrition guidelines.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.

About This Position

$16.50/hour + $500 new hire bonus

Shift: 2am -11am

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Required:
• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred:
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
