As Food Service Supervisor, you will:
- Be responsible for the supervision and management of the food service area and will supervise and manage all kitchen/food services staff to include Job Corps Staff, Work-Based Learning Staff, and Leisure Time Student Workers.

Food Service Supervisor Duties Include:
- Managing and overseeing the overall Center food preparation activities, including the Student Store/Snack Bar.
- Managing the dining room, student monitors, student behavior, and Food Services department.
- Ensuring quality control, planning menus, coordinating food purchases, and managing the food services budget.
- Overseeing food preparation for special functions and developing new menu items.
- Coordinating the preparation and availability of box lunches for Work-Based Learning students and students off-center.
- Ensuring compliance with USDOL and Job Corps guidelines and directives.
- Participating as an active member of the Center's HEALs (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles) Committee, potentially serving as chairperson.
- Ensuring sanitation and overall cleanliness of all food service areas.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and local health department guidelines.
- Operating the evening snack program.
- Conducting student surveys and meetings with SGA per policy.
- Providing superior customer service at all times.
- Ensuring staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.
- Transporting students if required.
- Interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and evaluating staff performance.
- Motivating, empowering, and managing staff to perform effectively, including training and career development.
- Mentoring, monitoring, and modeling standards for staff and students.
- Providing high-quality supervision and management to students, addressing behavior issues positively.
- Ensuring quality services meet student needs and pursuing continuous improvement.
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing, contributing to group efforts, and providing timely information to authorities.
- Identifying and analyzing problems, evaluating solutions, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
- Working collaboratively with all departments to ensure effective supervision and services.
- Accepting supervision from the Center Director/Shift Manager and fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
