Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage inmate labor and kitchen staff within a correctional facility. The role involves preparing and serving meals, training workers, and ensuring adherence to menus and nutritional guidelines.

On-site hours include weekends/holidays, with a schedule of 7:30am–6pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Emphasis on teamwork, adaptability, and ongoing learning, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in institutional food service or restaurant setting preferred.
• Ability to train and supervise inmates and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen equipment to cook and portion food to meet nutritional requirements.
• Train other food service workers and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and safety standards.
• Stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods as needed.

About This Position

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 7:30am-6pm

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
