Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for a correctional facility in Ashland City, TN. You will oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff, prep and serve meals, and ensure adherence to recipes and dietary requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 18+ years old, with preference for institutional food service or restaurant background. Shift mornings, with some weekends/holidays, onsite at the jail facility.

• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.

About This Position

***Must be able to work the following shift: 6:00am - 3:00pm (some weekends and holidays are required)***

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
