Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff in a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals, follow recipes, and ensure compliance with safety and health standards.

The role reports to the Food Service Director and requires onsite work inside a jail/correctional facility. Must be available to work some weekends and holidays with a Sun through Wed 10am to 6pm schedule that rotates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Candidate must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals per planned schedules and department procedures.
• Train other food service workers and maintain a safe, healthy work environment.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

Sun through Wed 10am to 6pm (schedule will rotate occasionally)

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
