Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a jail facility. You will prepare and serve meals following menus and work instructions, managing staff and ensuring quality and safety.

Reporting to the Food Service Director, you will work on-site inside the correctional facility, with opportunities for growth and a clear career path within the company. The position offers a $1,250 bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be 18+ years old.
• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Ability to train others and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Prepare food and portion meals following recipes using required utensils.
• Train other food service workers and ensure safety practices.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
