Job summary

ESC of Eastern Ohio Consortium in Austintown Township, OH is seeking substitutes for its school food service program. Duties include serving lines, food preparation for cold and hot items, dish room tasks, and cafeteria cleaning on a rotating basis.

Position Type: Food Service/ Substitute Food Service

Classified substitute rate $12.00 per hour as of January 1, 2026

• Classified substitute staff receive enrollment in State Employee Retirement System(SERS)

Food Service Assignments

• Serving lines
• Food preparation; cold and hot foods
• Dish room
• Cleaning in building cafeteria

Substitutes will be called on a rotating basis as needed

Requirements must be on file before starting

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks
• Enrolled in the Ohio Department of Education Rapback System
• Complete Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Training and Reporting
