Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is hiring a Food Service Worker to prepare, present, and serve meals, ensuring quality and presentation. You will handle prep tasks, stock items, and assist with cashiering in a campus dining setting.

Eligible candidates will have FoodSafe Level 1, strong English, and the ability to work well under a heavy workload, either independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with cash register is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English, written and verbal.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and serve meals ensuring quality and presentation.
• Perform prep work (washing, peeling, cutting fruits/vegetables).
• Carry pans and trays safely between stations.
• Store and rotate food per procedures.
• Set up items for purchase daily; cashiering and line serving.
