452 MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERV. at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, OK is seeking a Food Service Specialist I to join a dedicated inpatient facility team.

You will handle, prepare, cook and serve meals across standard and special diets while keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and compliant with safety standards. Open/Close dates are posted, hourly pay rate is $14.66, with shift differentials where applicable; primary hours typically 5:00am-1:30pm or 11:00am-7:30pm.

Qualifications

• Level 1 – No requirements.
• Special Requirements: able to travel as needed and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must submit to physical examination and meet requirements for lifting (50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently) and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) located in Vinita, OK is a 24 hour/365 day secure inpatient forensic facility that provides jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma. Currently, OFC has 268 beds for consumers who have been found Incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. About the Position: Here at the Oklahoma Forensic Center the Food Service department is hiring for Food Service Specialists that would be assigned responsibilities at an inpatient behavioral health facility that may include, but are not limited to, handling, preparing, cooking, and serving food for regular, modified and special diets. This includes maintaining clean and sanitary work, preparation and serving areas.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Level 1 – No requirements. Special Requirements: Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license. Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds; 20 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 50 pounds.
