Job summary

SSP America in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a friendly Food Service Worker to greet guests, take orders, and process payments in a fast-paced dining setting. You will help with setup, cleaning, and closing tasks, while maintaining a tidy work area and ensuring accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a food service environment is essential.
• Verbal and written communication is essential.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, and totals.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of machinery and equipment.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Return all items used during your shift to the proper place, clean and organize all work and storage areas.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard products to adhere to health standards.
