Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services in the United States is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and complete daily reports while upholding high standards of quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

You will prepare quality food and baked goods from a planned menu, store food safely, serve meals on schedule, use kitchen equipment properly, and participate in cleaning, ware washing, and adherence to all food safety

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate or equivalent sufficient for duties.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods per menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand inclusions of a meal and ensure proper storage.
• Serve food according to schedules and policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments to enhance presentation and happiness.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work/storage area.
