Position Overview

We are seeking experienced, self-starting, creative, and service-oriented individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead daily food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety, and serve.

Major Responsibilities
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of daily meals for students and staff
  • Ensure food quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Director on menu and special events
  • Supervise kitchen staff and student workers
  • Manage inventory and rotation, and minimize waste
  • Create a welcoming and respectful environment consistent with Christian hospitality
Qualifications
  • Faith, service and lifestyle that meets University expectations (See IPM sections: “Statement of Core Values,” “Doctrinal Statement,” “Christian Standards,” “Lifestyle Standard.”)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or institutional food service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian educational institution
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Preferred: ServSafe Certification
