Job summary

Holy Cross Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Maryland, seeks a Food Service Operations Rep for a part-time, rotating-shift role. The position delivers trays, meals and nourishments to patients and other customers, with on-site responsibilities at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital.

You will attend to patient requests, collect trays, assist in sanitation, and perform duties as assigned. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with strong communication, basic arithmetic, and ability to use

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent or four years of work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose

• The Food Service Operations Rep assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors and other customers or clients.

As a “Food Service Operations Rep” You Will

• Attends to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service and related requests, needs or requirements in a friendly, cheerful, patient and customer-focused manner.
• Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
• Assists in the sanitation of the entirety of the department including, but not limited to pots, dish room, trash, floors and special cleaning as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.65 - $21.42

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
