Overview

Directs Food & Nutrition staff tasks to assure that meals are delivered safely, promptly, and in compliance with the patient’s dietary needs. Ensures the successful operation of the retail food spaces. Effectively communicates with other departments. Successful administration of these duties will ensure that all policies and procedures are followed to serve palatable, nutritious, attractive, and safe food to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining professionalism aligned with the FOCUS Values.

• Oversees daily tasks, compliance, customer service, HIPAA, and patient experience.
• Reallocates resources based on volume and staffing changes.
• Orients and trains new team members.
• Audits, counts, and balances cashier transactions and department bank.
• Supports overall operations as needed.
• Strives to improve quality and customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School Education or equivalent
• Food service experience
• Progressive leadership experience
• ServSafe Certification within 90 days of employment

Preferred or Specialized

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
• Leadership, relationship management, teamwork, professionalism, communication, planning, problem-solving, and computer skills
• Use of usual equipment; travel to other UPH facilities may be required
