Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Food Service Worker for Clemson University in Clemson, SC. The role supports the manager with food preparation, maintains records and reports, and upholds high sanitation and kitchen safety standards.

You will assist in daily operations, ensure proper food storage and serving according to schedules and policies, and participate in cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas. Experience with fast-paced food service and adherence to safety rules is preferred.

Qualifications

• Food service certificate or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal and portion control.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures.
• Handle knives and kitchen equipment with care and safety.
• Prepare a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishes as needed.
• Coordinate and participate in major cleaning of refrigerators and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Follow the uniform policy and maintain clean work areas.
• Communicate daily with the Manager to prepare the menu for the day.
• Monitor food temperature requirements for safety and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and storage area.
• Support other kitchen duties as assigned.
