Institute for Community Living Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Food Service Worker to perform a range of kitchen tasks at an on-site location in New York, NY.

The role involves meal assembly, dishwashing, sanitation, and safety duties, with responsibilities from food preparation to serving residents. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, be able to pass NYS Health Department food handler requirements, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent training and experience.
• Must pass NYS Health Department requirements for food handlers.
• Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Washes refrigerators and other equipment by hand or with pressure cleaning equipment.
• Cleans loading dock areas, garbage cans and kitchen areas with mops and brushes.
• Washes pots, pans and utensils by hand and by machine.
• Receives and stores deliveries in appropriate storage areas; rotates stored food.
• Brings food and supplies to preparation and serving areas as directed.
• Cleans fruits, vegetables and potatoes in preparation for cooking.
• Cooks grill-type foods such as hamburgers, eggs, etc.
• Serves food in proper portions to residents; ensures special diets are followed.
