Job Title: Food Service Associate

Job Purpose:

Each Huck's Market Food Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the food service area runs smoothly and efficiently. By adhering to company guidelines, Associates help maintain profitability while providing quality food and excellent customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities

• Ensure the food service department is open and ready during operating hours
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers
• Communicate effectively with store associates
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Manage food preparation to minimize waste while ensuring sufficient supply for customers

Human Resources

• Treat all associates with dignity and respect
• Report personnel issues or policy violations affecting store performance to the store manager
• Assist in training new associates on their duties

Security

• Follow all shift procedures
• Maintain a safe shopping and working environment
• Use safety equipment and follow safety rules
• Use current plan-o-grams
• Communicate any special needs or requests to the manager
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the manager about merchandise orders to prevent stockouts

Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App

• Promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Explain the benefits of signing up and using the app
• Monitor transactions for misuse of points or discounts
• Assist customers with app registration and usage for discounts and redemptions

Maintenance

• Maintain food service area appearance according to company standards
• Keep display cases and glass clean
• Report maintenance issues beyond immediate correction to the store manager
• Keep food service areas clean and follow sanitation procedures

Safety

• Use ladders properly
• Follow proper lifting procedures
• Use wet floor signs as needed
• Report accidents promptly to the Store Manager and Corporate office
