Food Service Associate

Job Purpose

Every Huck's Market Food Service Associate plays a key role in running the food service area smoothly and effectively. By following company guidelines, Associates help make sure the department stays profitable while delivering top-notch quality food and customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the food service department is open and ready during food service hours.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
• Communicate effectively with store associates.
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations.
• Control food preparation to avoid waste and ensure sufficient supply for customers.

Additional Responsibilities

• Treat all associates with dignity and respect.
• Report personnel issues or policy violations.
• Assist in training new associates.

Security and Safety

• Follow shift procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
• Use protective equipment and report accidents promptly.

Merchandising and Promotions

• Use current plan-o-grams.
• Communicate needs to managers.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering to prevent stockouts.

Customer Engagement

• Promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App.
• Help customers sign up and understand benefits.
• Monitor transactions for misuse.

Maintenance and Cleanliness

• Maintain the appearance of food service areas to company standards.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Follow sanitation procedures.

Additional Safety Measures

• Use ladders properly.
• Follow lifting procedures.
• Use wet floor signs as needed.
• Report accidents immediately.
