Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction with food service utilizing customer service skills. Delivers and serves nutritionally appropriate and attractive meals in a timely manner. Practices appropriate food handling techniques and food safety procedures in all aspects of job.

Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures when interacting with customers.
  • Operates all food service equipment according to department procedures.
  • Communicates customer complaints and concerns effectively with other healthcare team members.
  • Performs sanitation for assigned work areas following departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
  • Serves patient meal trays using the designated script, including proper patient identification.
  • Distributes and collects menus from patients; obtains selected menus according to departmental procedures.
  • Responds to meal service requests with good customer service skills, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Serves meals within established timeframes, maintaining standards for appearance, food quality, and temperature.
  • Work permit required if under 18 years old.
