Food Service Host - Part-time role - 16 hours biweekly, weekends required, rotating shifts.

Job Description

Please note, this role is a part-time position with 16 hours biweekly, requiring weekend shifts and rotating schedules.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Create an excellent and memorable patient experience regarding food service at Jefferson by obtaining food preferences and menu selections from patients and inputting selections into a computer utilizing CBORD software.
2. Anticipate patient needs regarding food service.
3. Assemble meals that are elegantly presented.
4. Serve patients in a kind, courteous, and friendly manner.

Essential Functions

• Obtain and input patient preferences and menu selections using CBORD software.
• Assemble patient meals on the POD that are elegantly presented and meet established standards.
• Serve meals and snacks to patients, addressing food service requests according to Jefferson service standards.
• Collect trays after meal service in a timely manner and bring tray carts to the dishroom.
• Take responsibility to create a unique, memorable, and personal experience for patients, empowered by supervision.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the hospital's core values.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to read, write, and comprehend written assignments, excellent customer service skills, basic computer skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, good time management, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
