Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Maryland’s Baltimore area is seeking a team member for IKEA Food to delight customers with honest, healthy, and delicious offerings. You will prepare and maintain menu items, assist with purchases, and ensure clean, safe, and organized dining spaces.

You’ll also manage the Swedish Food Market, communicate prices across channels, and uphold FIFO and safety standards, while contributing to a welcoming, diverse team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
• Food Handler Certification and/or Card required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items per the IKEA Food concept, following health and sustainability standards.
• Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive and cleaning maintenance as needed.
• Keep dining and play areas clean and organized, with proper dining ware availability.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation and sanitization of sampling equipment and areas.
• Ensure accurate price communication across all food solutions, including digital platforms and shelf tags.
• Adhere to FIFO, expiration dates, and sustainability standards for supplies.
• Comply with internal IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and monthly inventory.
• Report safety concerns promptly and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
