Qualifications

• Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate food programs in a skilled nursing facility.
• Coordinate with family and residents to create meal plans, with physician approval via dietician.
• Prepare and manage department budget and inventory controls.
• Maintain department financial records and participate in inspections.
• Recruit, train and supervise dietary staff; schedule work shifts; discipline when necessary.
• Ensure safety with MSDS compliance and protective equipment; lead quality rounds.
