Job description

Job Title: Food Service Director

Navion of Shelby, a Navion Senior Solutions community located in Shelby, NC, is seeking a Food Service Director responsible for overseeing our food service program. This includes meal preparation, supervision, serving, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and planning and directing the food service operations.

Qualifications:
  1. Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food service sanitation certificate) or is able to participate in sanitation training to become ServSafe certified.
  2. Previous experience in food service leadership, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
  3. A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred.
  4. High School diploma or GED required.
  5. Ability to handle multiple priorities, effective written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  6. Ability to serve seniors in a team environment.
