About This Position

The Food Service Director plans, directs, and coordinates the operation of a large food service facility with one or more kitchens. Responsibilities include overseeing operational and financial aspects, supervising an Assistant Food Service Director, Food Service Supervisors, and Cooks involved in food preparation, serving, and cleanup within a secure correctional facility. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old
  • Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • Basic accounting and mathematical skills for report completion
