Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Food Service Director in Tempe, AZ, to lead the Corporate Chefs team and oversee all aspects of a food service department onsite. The role requires strong leadership, nutrition knowledge, and execution of meals, with preference for a Chef/Manager background.

You will manage a diverse team, ensure culinary and safety standards, and drive customer satisfaction while coordinating with district management and other departments.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer satisfaction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a motivated, effective food service director to our Corporate Chefs team in Tempe, AZ. As a food service director, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department. This role requires someome that is comfortable leading a team, has nutritional knowledge and is comfortable with execution of meals. Preference is a candidate with a Chef/ Manager background.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Manage and lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
• Addressing customer service needs.
  

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
• The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.

Nice-to-haves:

• ServSafe and/or HACCP certification

Compensation Range

$75,000 plus bonus
