Job summary

South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland, MA is hiring a Food Service Director to lead our dining department in a full-time, salaried role. The position oversees planning, staffing, and budgeting to deliver nutritious meals for residents.

Minimum of a high school diploma required; two years supervisory experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility is preferred. Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical field is preferred.
• Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve all therapeutic diets in accordance with guidelines and regulations
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and quality standards are maintained in all dining services areas
• Educate and train department staff on all aspects of dining services functions
• Formulate menu planning with guidance from dietician and ensure menus are accurately adhered to
• Delegate authority to competent staff in your absence
• Provide dining services for in-house functions and ensure quality and quantity of all deliveries

South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is hiring a Food Service Director to lead our dining department!

We are a 96-bed skilled nursing facility in Rockland. Full-time, salaried role with weekly pay up to $36 an hour.

The Food Service Director oversees the operations of the dining department including ordering, staffing, and planning to ensure residents receive delicious and nutritious meals to meet their care needs.

Education and Experience:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
