Job summary

Eagle Rock Post Acute Care at Cedar Grove in New Jersey is seeking a seasoned Food Service Director to lead the Dietary/Food Service department. The role will oversee staff and operations to ensure safe, high-quality meals for residents.

The Director will ensure regulatory compliance, manage facilities and equipment, and maintain strong communication with nursing leadership while championing therapeutic and nutritious meal plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Service exp. in Long-Term Care settings strongly preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep.
• Experience with State, County and Federal codes preferred.
• Solid leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Oversee the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, dining areas, and equipment
• Inspects Residents' trays for consistency with specified menu
• May be requested to assist on tray line at meal times
• Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events
